Itsy Bitsy Spyder(co)
on: February 27, 2012, 06:15:33 PM
Some time ago someone asked to see some pics of my teeny titanium Police model tie clip.  Well, here it is.

And since it's hard to guess size with no reference points, here it is next to my yellow scaled Compact.

As you can see, the overall length of this knife is only slightly bigger than the blade on a 91mm SAK.  Pretty tiny, although completely functional.  The lock mechanism is functional and solid, and the teeny SpyderEdge will cut just as well (for it's size) as a regular blade.

It almost makes me wish I wore a tie to work....  :hatsoff:

Wow, this is nice. First time I've heard of it. Is it a commercial product from spyderco?

It was a number of years ago.  I don't think it's been in production for some time.

Love it! :tu: It looks as if it had wings. :D

One could attach a regular tie clip to a Bug using that 3M VHB red tape

Technically it'd be illegal to wear that on your tie in public in the UK, even at that size.  Though I like to think that just a little bit of common sense might prevail.  In much the same way that no one (to my knowledge) has ever been arrested for carrying the fixed blade in a Swiss card :)

On the other hand I can think of many ties that should be illegal to wear in public ;)

I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

...

Swiss Card, no; the more aggressively-styled Tool Logic card with skeletonized knife, yes. :/

Aww... very cute and also a great idea; you can use it to remove the noose you voluntarily put around your neck in an emergency :D
