OK, found the next knife I want
on: January 29, 2008, 08:02:07 PM
I want a Sheffield 2 piece locking clasp knife. The one at the top of the page. Although I've only been searching online for an hour or so I can't find one here in the US.

Are they good knives?

That auction states they ship worldwide, cheaper than that store too.

http://www.gunaccessories.com/ProForce/KnivesMachetes.asp   will ship overseas, though I don't have the time to go look at exchange rates so don't know if this is a good price or not...

Only a two piece? Not going the whole hog and getting the Marlingspike? (that version doesn't lock, but you can't win em all)

Roadie, I think the one in the auction is a non-locking one. I want a locking one. Thanks for looking though. That one at gunaccessories.com seems to be OK. I checked out and shipping would be $8.95 so I can only assume they have some in stock. Kinda pricey but I'll think about it. It just looks like a bullet proof no nonsense knife. I LOVE my multi-tools but sometimes going back to the basics is nice too. It looks like it would be a decent hobo knife.

No problem, didn't realise about the locking bit! I've handled a similar one in a shop and they do feel very solid, quite comfortable to hold too.

That's good to hear. It looks like they would. I wonder how well the steel holds an edge.

William Rodgers is one of the suppliers for BAKs, including that lockback without Marlingspike one.

A shipping container (or two) of Egginton Group knives arrived in Australia just recently, I am currently investigating which products were inside
