I hear they are getting Tom Arnold to play me in the movie version.  I'm flattered that they are getting someone so much more attractive to play me....

The worst part is that I had forgotten I'd read this post I few year back, and as I kept reading the story felt very familiar, by the end it was obvious it was the fifth time reading it.

The story doesn't get old though, it's nice to remember some of the older members, and the folks that are no longer with us. The changes to the forum were only for the best, this place just keeps getting better and better. Great job Boss!!!  :salute: :salute:

I just re-read the MTO story again. It's amazing what has been created here and all the history behind THE site. There is no other forum out there that feels " at home" as this one does.

I've been in other forums, but there is always too much drama and sometimes a lack of respect for other peoples opinion. Not here, nicest, most friendly place on the interwebs!!

Just had a read again.  Having found this place like many I was compelled to join up.  I am glad I did because the camaraderie has been what kept me here.  Thru lifes ups and downs and the everything in-between this place has been my go to spot.

Thanks to all who make this place so fun.

Its always nice to see this one bumped every now and then.   It's a good read, and I'm glad I didn't wait too long to write it out, as many of the details would likely have been forgotten!

+2. I have been a member of some other forums, but MTO is by far the best I’ve found and the one I post in regularly because of the great people here.

I had a list of forums, I mean at least 20 that I used to belong to and used to post on, but one day my system got cleaned out and all my links were gone, this forum is the first one I remembered because it’s the one I spent the most time on, but I said screw it, with how everyone is so family like this forum I didn’t even look for any of the other forums up and I only come here,

+3 (or is that 4? )

Although I’m only a fairly recent member I’d been lurking for a long time and many times used it as a point of reference when searching something out or in need of an honest review.

I do the same with a few other sites but this is the first I’ve really wanted to be a part of and become a member

:hatsoff: to everyone who makes it such a friendly inclusive place.
I appreciate how much history has gone into it over the years, the hard work of the admins and the enthusiasm everyone brings for the thing we all have in common, regardless of our many and varied backgrounds, it makes it a pleasure to be a part of

While building the site I also knew that there’s a common conundrum with starting a new site.  To get content you need people.  To get people you need content.  We had a few people but I didn’t really expect anyone to really have any significant contributions (you couldn’t blame most of them- it was a new site with not much going on and they all had lives) so I created a few different profiles and spent the early days arguing with myself on the forum to generate discussion and even some controversy.  It worked and soon the forum started to really blossom as people who weren’t me started joining in!  :D

How many of you are really Grant?
