My first true sak at twelvish was a Ranger. Interesting enough my 2nd self -paid replacement after losing it was around 13-14 and was explorer which i still own.

I have never ever successfully started a fire with a magnifying glass and the can opener has done its job on 90% of all phillips screws  and another 5% probably needed a real driver/ replacing that metal saw/file though  :whistle:

Utilikey, Screwzall, Vic Classic, a small pair of pliers, and off to the pub with the change  :whistle:

I reckon the SAK Huntsman has got to be up there with the best of em' given the criteria.

Failing that, agree with previous comments kick, fuse, blast etc (although you would be hard pushed to pick up a blast for under 35 in the UK).
The company Gareth got his Gerber from at that excellent UK price also have LM Blasts for £35.00, see original post here :tu:

Leatherman kick for a good cheap multi. Doesn't cost much more than the cheapos. Stands up well to battery acid on a regular basis. :tu: ( I work for a battery retailer)
