I used to deliver beer, believe me there are easier ways to lift the kegs. While I am perfectly capable of carrying one on my shoulder(did it, several times) I usually dragged them everywhere. Getting them out of the truck is easy: pull and get out of the way. They squirt about an ounce of beer and seal back up. We had an obscene name for that that I won't list here. The company never recommended that you lift the keg more than necessary and you will figure out a way that is easy on you.
The farthest I ever had to lift one other than my shoulder was to the top of another keg, stacked bottom one vertical, top on horizontal on a dolly,
