What do you think of this light?

I am thinking about buying this to replace the HID I got rid of. Anyone have any experience or input about these lights?

Looks interesting. Makes the 3 XML light I have coming look pathetic.  :D

I assume it should give 2000-3000 lumens if driven correctly

A bit pricey but it comes with the, needed, protected batteries.

I'm certainly no expert, but wouldn't those seven, quite shallow, reflectors give you quite a floody beam?  Very bright perhaps, but no exactly focused.  IIRC that's not what you want. :-\

Someone else please feel free to tell me I'm totally wrong though. :D

Spot on.  It would throw a reasonable distance due to sheer brute force, but it would be a very broad beam.

Even if it could manage 8500 Lumens (try 5600 as a more realistic figure) It wouldn't do it for long. I'm sure there's not enough heatsinking there to manage 7 XM-L's at full belt.

That looks pretty wicked. I bet it could cook a hamburger in 30 secs.

Hmm... I'd definitely search for reviews before hitting the button on that one :)

I went to budget life forums as suggested and found some good information. The light does not have the proper driver. I passed and got some simpler lights to try out.
