Hi guys, been looking into multi tools for a while and wanted a UK legal EDC. I saw a deal for some pocket power pliers deluxe on Amazon for 25 quid so jumped on it. I was wondering if I could fit my own choice of set up on this which would include a v-cutter, a saw and the straight edged blade. I ask because the PPP isn't listed as one of the compatible tools for either the v-cutter or saw.
I'll be losing the file and the part serrated knife as i don't have a need for these.

Cheers
Mick

Firstly, welcome to MTO

Secondly, you got a good tool for a great price :tu:

Yes, you can play lego with it very easily, and your tool choices should fit easily. We do have a few threads around with similar projects which you can search for.

cheers for the welcome. I'll do a search, I just wondered with certain accessories not listing PPP compatible and from what I've read there's a limit to number long tools

Hey mympro02,

First, welcome to the boards.

Looking at the PPP, it seems to only have 2 long tool slots and 4 regular tool slots. However, I don't own one, and I could be long.

I'm afraid that from the looks of it, you won't be able to get a straight blade, saw, and v-cutter. You'd have to choose 2 of the 3.

I would rather make my own V-cuter from a good quality metal that is one piece from a blank that is the thickness of one slot. The standard V-cutter of SOG takes up a double slot thickness I think. There are enough types of belt cutter on the market that will give you an idea in shape.
Regards
Johan

The standard V-cutter of SOG takes up a double slot thickness I think.

The V-Cutter is only a single large slot.

All the components can be looked up on the SOG site here:
http://sogknives.com/store/components.html

At the right of any item's picture is a listing for Specifications where it tells you the component slots required and component size.
