Superbowl tomorrow. Any plans?

Nothing too exciting here, just taking the family up to my Mom's house. Mr Dr. doesn't want me drinking because of my hernia so I guess I'll just have to disobey him.  :D

One or two won't kill ya!

I've got two parties I can go to but I'll probably go to the nearer one and stay there. I think it will be a good game, hopefully better than your typical SB blowout. Giants held the Pats to 3 last time. We shall see. Go G-men![/size]

We don't give a monkey's testicles about Superbowl here (y'know, cause it ain't real football  :D), although somehow the Coke and Pepsi ads that would be played during your Superbowl managed to make the news  ???

I actually haven't seen any portion of a football game in almost 4 years. I seem to have lost interest about the time I moved down to Alabama, which doesn't have an NFL franchise.

Probably end up going to sleep about the time the game starts, tomorrow is job hunting time.

What other kind of football is there? Of course it's real football. Unless you mean arena football, which is OK. It's good to watch when you got an 8 beer buzz and needs some violence during the summer.

I tried to like American Football, I really did... but it's just people in padding standing around for the best part of three hours! Only in America :P

Real football would be Association Football, or Rugby Football, and I'll even give you Aussie rules footy (where, as far as I can tell, the object is to break as many bones in the opposition as possible... and I think you might get a bonus if you kill someone?) but not American Football.

If Lawrence Taylor played rugby you'd wear pads.

See Joe Theismann get "Pwnd" by Mr. Taylor.

I don't do gratuitous injury shots, but:

Rugby

http://youtube.com/watch?v=tc0Ut5y-GRc (and no, they don't stop the game and all go and stand in a line when someone gets tackled... they keep going)

Aussie Rules (good overall vid, not just hits)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=X_hqosNvv5E

I won't bother with Association... everybody's seen it all before.

You're a big fan I see Calvin ;)

Well being from the UK I don't see hardly any American Football, but I usually watch the Superbowl until I fall sleep (usually about half way through :P)  I don't have a favourite team so I just pick the best colour shirts on the night.

I'll probably actually catch some of it when I go over to my brothers house for dinner and to take my collies to play with his. I do that every night, but I really couldn't give two poops about football. ::)

Not interested in the Super Bowl at all!

I'll probably listen to some shortwave radio shows or something..
