MT.org weighs heavily on my wallet!
on: April 07, 2012, 10:34:07 AM
But, hey, it's all good, right?  Anyway, I took some pics of all of my MT's.  There are mostly Leathermans, but there are 3 SAK Multi's and one SOG, and one Gerber.

It depends on when the Rebar becomes available, because the Rebar would definitely be next.  I have a feeling that the MT bug will get to me before the Rebar is on sale, so I would probably get one of the Juices.  I only have the Juice C2.

I joined MT.org in the fall of 2010, when I bought my first Multi - the Camo Charge.  So its been about 19 months, and I have 26 tools counting the Style not in the picture (it's on my keychain).  That's roughly 1.4 tools per month, but I usually buy them a couple at a time, and usually off of eBay.
I also buy American made Schrade knives, and Busse and Busse kin knives.
Hmm - no wonder I'm not married!

Wow, 14 since March! Now that's what I call some serious tool purchasing.  If you keep that up, your family will have no choice but to have an intervention   The most I've ever bought in one month is probably about 5, maybe 6.
My favorite is my Charge Tti seclusion 3D (Camo).  It was the first one I purchased and has the most EDC time.
What is your favorite?

That would be so cool!  We could pool our money, and pay our bills first, then we coud spend on MT's.  (if there is any left over we could buy some food.)

My next question is what to buy next (can still feel a little weight in my wallet).  I haven't heard much about the Crunch around here.  What is the general consensus on the crunch?

The good and bad thing, at the same time, about it is that it is speSmurfpillsed.

If you need locking pliers in a (current) decent multitool then you have to get that.

If you do not then remember that the Crunch pliers are not easy to use and you do not get many tools on it.

I think Mr Whippy is the biggest Crunch user/fan here..

I love the Crunch, but I don't carry or use it as often as it deserves.  The good thing is that you can use the pliers like normal pliers (not as good, but it can be done) but then you have the option to lock them whenever you need that ability.  Plus, they are blunt nosed, which I prefer over the many not-really-needle-nose pliers that everyone is producing.

You just have to learn how to open and close it as smoothly as Bob does!  :D

Yeah better start practicing now then...! :twak:   the Crunch might be my absolute favourite as well. The absolute pinnacle of tool engineering if you ask me. It was waaaay ahead of its time when first produced and it's the only MT still produced that has the old school feel to it. You have to have one, and carry it for a while, extremely useful if you give it a chance. Nice pics BTW, the road tour spirit is the bee's knee's.

Stay multi my friends
