A "good deals" section for the B/S/T?
on: February 03, 2008, 11:45:56 PM
Unsure as to whether this is a good idea or not.

Fairly regularly I come across some excellent deals on multis, either on classifieds sites or general on-line retailers. I would like to pass (some ;)) of these deals on to fellow members but have been unsure if this would be improper to post in the regular ol' B/S/T forum. I don't want to bloat the forums with an unnecessary subsection and think merely identifying the thread in such a way that members can see it is not an item I have for sale but am directing them too.
e.g.;

"Used Old Wave for 25$ at CPF in the non-lights section!"

Thoughts?

I think a "heads up" section would be a great idea.  :)

People would need to be made aware though that each find is exactly that, a find and that the seller of the tool could not necessarily be recommended to buy from, so the risk still lies with the person interested in making the purchase. (If that makes any sense at all!?! :D)

That was my feeling too. I don't want to steer anyone down the path of getting ripped off, just to some good deals. I should make a disclaimer for my signature.

I'd check such a forum.  There's one on edcforums.com that sees a lot of action.
