I don't plan on going too far with these.  Chances are they'll spend most of their life in the hold of my kayak, waiting for the mood to strike me while we are taking a break from paddling.  Frank usually brings his, and he seems to have some fun snorkeling, so I thought I'd give it a shoe too.

And, at $50 at Costco, it was almost too cheap to pass up!

My best set is from costco. I've done quite a bit in the past but mostly salesmurfer. It's amazing the things you see underwater! I was eyeing the Costco wet suits too. The only thing that gets me out of the water is the chill you eventually get from the deeper uh... depths. You guys usually dip in St. Margs bay Def?

Not yet, and I have no plans to.  I might try Lawrencetown beach just for the fun of it in a relatively controlled environment.  There are a number of nice lakes we generally kayak on that I'll probably stick to.  I have a 2 mil shorty wetsuit that I wear when bodyboarding that I'll probably wear when/if I go out specifically for snorkeling but chances are it'll be me diving in a pair of swim trunks or cargo shorts that I usually wear when paddling.

Oh, and salsmurfer...  :rofl:

If you do not intend to go spearfishing then invest in an underwater camera so you can "shoot" pictures.

Hope you enjoy it Def, ive done diving since the 80's and love it, these days just feediving as cheaper, ive never done spear fishing although in uk waters you would need lights  :D   :tu:

Sadly I don't expect to see much here either as the water is generally not that clear.  It is in some spots so I'll pretty well concentrate on those.

Finally I have a justification for owning dive watches... :P

Although the only thing around is a river with raw sewage dump...
