She's a pretty girl.  My Daisy is part German Shepherd and part rottweiller.  Those Germans really know how to make good dogs!

I'm convinced Daisy inherited the intelligence of the shepherd and the stupidity of the rotti.  She is axtremely smart and picks up on things I don't even notice, and you can only trick her once (maybe twice if you are lucky) before she catches on.  But, if you try to teach her something or get her to do something she doesn't want to do she will resist you every which way she can.  She makes mules seem cooperative when she gets something in her head.

The folks who live upstairs from us have a beagle/basset cross named Molly.  She's about three years old now and the poor thing has the high energy of the beagle but the low heavy body of the basset!  She's an adorable little critter who just can't seem to keep up with herself!

who likes ice cream

When I had a family friend's cat for a month, whenever I open the ice cream container it would appears out of nowhere into the kitchen in under a second. They can tell it's the ice cream container and not anything else from another floor!

My dog loves to lay on my bed. I opened the door tonight to get her to come out and here she is. She also requires a fan on her at all times. Yes we also have central air. She's spoiled.

Not mine, but at times he sure acts like it.....

This is Rorschach, my landlord's cat.  He got his name because his markings look like ink blots.  I'm really not a cat person, but this one is tolerable.  He saw me coming, and assumed his standard position - flopped on the floor expecting a belly rub.  Little pain in the ass......  :)

My Greta died two months ago, renal failure. I really miss her. :(

These two wondered into my back yard a few weeks ago and decided to stay. Real couch potatoes. Mother and daughter.

"Pet" always seemed like the wrong word to me.  "Pet" seems like they are just a minor player in your life, like a favorite pair of pants.  You'd be bummed if something happened to them, but you could just go out the next day and get a new pair.

My pets have never been like that- they have always been a very large part of my life and I have never really gotten over their passing.  Gotten on with my life yes, but gotten over it?  Not a chance.

I'm sorry to hear about Greta.

She was with us for four years, a member of the family. I still miss her father Gizmo who died some four years ago. :(

The owners of the mother here were some people who lived a few houses down. Never met them really, they came, lived there for a couple of months and left. Left the cat.  :-\  The kiddo was born after that. I knew the mother would be fine but the small kitty wouldn't survive the winter so we took them in. The mother comes and goes, I'm still not sure if she'll stay with us or if she's just checking up on us if we're a good family to leave her kid with. But the kitty, Masha, is always here, wreaking havoc on the living room. :ahhh She has a bluishly grey colour and up until a few days ago wouldn't let anyone touch her. She's getting accustomed to us now though. :D

Yay, way too long since we saw something here. A little surprised a ferret is happy about watching a movie, though I guess the LCD helps. (Many animals need high framerates for stuff like this, and since ferrets live life in the fast lane...)

And the surprising thing is that Helga is a shy girl, she usually musters at things from under the bed, or under the wardrobe. So at first I didn't move not to frighten her, but she was totally unconcerned about anything besides Will Smith... :D

Not like my boy Hagar! :D
He wants his daily dose of squishing, and petting. Afterwards a little nap in my lap doesn't hurt... :P

Of course they sleep together, and usually they wake up like this:

Too cute, I miss our ferrets! We had to give up ours due to moving, twice, and now my wife wants to get one again, but having to get cages and supply's is freaking expensive. JR

Cages? What for, I don't have any cages for them, they literally live with me. They have a small carrying box, and thats all. Trust me, a happy ferret is a ferret, who can roam freely. :)

Moving doesn't stress them too much, my ex put me out to the street two months ago, so I moved back to my parents house. We share the little ones, half a week for me, half a week for the ex with the ferrets. AND on summer, the weekend house... :)

so sorry to hear that, our one house I took the closet door off and built a shelving unit with ramps and litter box for them, but I had to make a screened door do to the kids, but when we moved the place were we were moving wouldn't allow them, and we had no choice, but they went to a very good home.
