Thanks for the reply. :tu:  She doesn't get to roam around the yard off the leash much because of this.

Does anyone know what to do about a 5½ month old labrador who eats everything? eg: dirt, grass clippings, chicken smurf..... left on her own she just hoovers it all up.  :dunno:

Is she actually eating (ie swallowing), or is she just chewing stuff ?
Swallowing. The owner is anxious about needing expensive surgeries to remove foreign objects.

Just feed her more ration. If she's full, she won't be able to swallow anything more...

She'll eat stuff, mostly dirt and bits of wood but occasionally she has eaten some small pebbles as well as dog smurf.

Does she give the impression of being ravenously hungry all the time, or does it look more like something to do to relieve boredom ?

In Rosie's case she always has been one to pick stuff up with her mouth. When she was a puppy I had to pull stuff out of her mouth all the time. As she got older she developed idiopathic epilepsy and she is on Phenobarbital for that which does make her hungry. So in her case I think it's out of habit and also because of her meds. In the winter she eats a lot of snow which isn't so bad except she'll eat so much that it causes her to shiver.

I basically have to watch her the whole time we are outside but I'm used to it.

I'm assuming she's been wormed?

Molly was a very mouth orientated pup and would pick up anything and everything, though I admit not always eating.  We had to put quite a bit of treat based training into "leave" and "drop".  A pre-emptive "leave" is still more effective than "drop".  ::)  Also got her used to having me stick my fingers in her mouth from a young age (without chewing fingers) in order to extract stuff she grabbed.

Same here Gareth, Rosie knows leave it and drop it and she's used to me sticking my fingers in her mouth.  Rosies a sneaky one though sometimes she'll pick something up when you look away for a second and hide it in her mouth until she thinks she can get away with it. I'll say what did you pick up, drop it and she will sheepishly spit it out   lol!

He decided to pee in his own water bowl twice tonight, then whines he can't get a drink.  He doesn't want to go outside, yet pees in the kitchen instead.  I should get shares in antibacterial floor cleaner, their shares must be on the rise with the amount I use nowadays.

Yeah I use puppy training pads, but he'll only pee on them once then pees on the floor or in his water or food.  I'm pretty sure he's going senile or something now

Poor wee Molly is feeling sorry for herself after having a benign lump removed from her leg.

Oops, I kinda did a accident, when I grabbed the sweaters out of the closet this morning someone snuck in, one of the furballs walked in without me knowing! When we got home and I went to hang up the sweaters up I opened the door this flash flew out across my feet! I must say he had some fun while in cause there was clothing everywhere! Luckily we were only gone for about 45min though! But he’s fine..

According to Molly he best thing about hoovering days is the fact she gets to have "her" rug in her favourite spot. :D  One week to go until she gets her stitches out.

No, but we did that to the kid, lol.. we were doing laundry and he kept crawling in and out of the dryer, the Mrs was like OMG this kids nuts, so I changed the settings, shut the door and hit the start button, claclump, and I quickly opened the door to see :D “DO IT AGAIN”
JR

I was like this kid is really nuts, there was a large comforter in the dryer and yet as I sit here look what’s to my side asleep on the couch, and look what he has
Lol..
