In episode 20 "Silent Assassin" Jeremy Wade illustrates how the Stingray is using it's tail
as a lethal weapon by stabbing a kevlar glove repeatedly with his LM Charge..  8) 8)

I'm not normally a big fan of fishing programs, but I've actually really enjoyed the few episodes of River Monsters I've seen. :)  Sadly I've not seen that particular episode though. :-\

Unlike the Mythbusters, Jeremy Wade only seems to have one tool- a Charge.  I watched two whole seasons of the show on Netflix and it makes several appearances.

It's a pretty good show.

They are quite fun to watch for us armchair fishermen, though they seem to be mostly repeats lately.

The stingray was seriously huge.

Interesting- the link shows a Wave but I was sure he used a Charge. I may have to watch some episodes again...

I think the first time I saw the Charge was in the first season when he was fishing for piranha- then went swimming with them.  Here's the original thread I started on it, but no screenshots.

I think it's actually the first episode in season one, and it's on Netflix, so I'll see if I can spot it again.

I'm guessing that one of the production crew spotted his old Wave and said "well it's OK of course, but how about we get you something a little more up to date?".  Obviously this all happened after his gear photo shoot.  :D

Amici,
I remember the thread, and I still do recall that in season 1, he used and original Wave.

Just thinking that there is a very good chance that the shooting wouldn't have been done in episode order, so there is still a good chance that he owned (and used) a Wave first and later the Charge, it's just that we might not be seeing it in chronological order.

Or, just perhaps, he might actually own more than one MT.  Not sure why anyone would want to do that though.  Must be some kind of weirdo.

Or more likely I just mistook the Wave for a Charge...  I do make mistakes on occasion.  :P

Definitely; it's not like having several SAKs, like normal people do.  :tu:

Its this the episode in question? It was on early yesterday morning. It did show a few cutaways of him in a tank of piranha. Jeremy was fishing for Wolf Fish in this episode. nastier than a piranha. He has a very large head using that Charge.

Also,Sometimes Leatherman does a "quiet sponsorship" by shipping a "care package" of free multittools to a show.
This was talked about here a while back when a LM/Mythbusters sighting came up.  Anyone noticed how all the tools, with a brand name, the brand name is taped over.  Except for the LM pouches
