So I've been curious about these for a while to use with my 2 man (read 1) tent.
So I bit the bullet and ordered one, all excited I settled down to read a book last night and after 3 hours, this
Not impressed, it was working great up to that point. Yes it is a genuine one and so is the candle.

That's disappointing. IIRC this is the same as my step mother uses and she swears by it.

I have one, but never had this problem. Then again, I've never had it lit for three hours continuously before

Hi
I've got a very nice candle lantern (sorry, can't remember the make) that I bought mostly because its brass&glass.
I get 4 hours from (slightly less than) half a candle, even with moderate wind.
It's stays in my newly revamped camping box, admit to doubting it's worth until it once again performed like a star during a 2 night camp next to the Orange river last week. It provided more than enough light in the "kitchen" area from sundown to sleepy time...
I know......pics

I think I worked out the problem, where I had it there was no airflow at all, tried it again yesterday but I left it in a less sheltered position and no repeat.
It burned for 3 hours and didn't melt the whole candle.
