I was rather impressed, my cousin might be an airline pilot but his projects at home are a struggle most of the time......

He's put together a little Aquaponic setup with a few small Tilapia, he has a cucumber, miniature tomato  and few others.....seems to be working!

My bonsai are on autopilot, and I'm a bit frustrated  by the lack of sunlight where I do have space to grow some food.

I have more Basil than I need, but that's it

Well done Kev!

Thank you

My mint has gone nuts as people said it would. I only had a big pot left to plant it in and its full already. I'm glad I didn't make the mistake of planting that out to take over the beds.

Mint will do that....

My previous flat in the mining town had few shoots of the lawn and a strawberry with 2 leaves in the garden.
18 months later I had a small lawn and an L-shaped bed with strawberries, goose berries, ginger, rosemary, basil, several types of flowers and lilies.....and more than I can't remember now.....I really miss that.

I was reminded of that because I planted 3 types of mint under the tap at the from of the house, got hammered by the afternoon sun but nothing stops it....

Not that I know about such things, but it looks quite healthy to me with the deep green leaves

My pumpkin plants are producing pumpkins. It's the first time I've ever grown them so pleased they are growing ok.  Only 2 of the 6 plants actually grew through, and the pumpkins are only ping pong ball sized at the mo, but it's looking hopeful.

A little more than a month later and its seems to be happy.  Yes the green leaves did indicate health.  There was some concern stress and neglect might have been an issue.  I have had plants that appeared healthy take a turn.  My pomegranate for example was doing so well then  :-\ not so much.  I am happy to report the bonsai is fairing well.  I'll have to snap another picture.

Cold weather moving in so I harvested all my corn. Not bad for a first try.

But don't leave them too long - they're best really fresh.  Also, if you have a lot they freeze well - leave them in the husks and just chuck them straight in the freezer.

They taste great, and I already husked them before freezing most of them.

Early spring.  I already have tiny peaches, apples and pears.

I've got my potatoes chitting ready for planting, I need to dig over my raised beds this weekend to get the green manure stuff dug in that I planted to protect it over winter.  I've got my greenhouse cleaned out and shelving put in, and all my seed trays ready to rock to get all my seeds planted soon.  Spring is well on the way so time to get planting. Onions, garlic and early potatoes will be first I think.

Fantastic!  Photos like this get me excited for spring!  We just went through an extremely hard freeze here in the Houston area. It will be weeks before I know the complete impact to my garden.  Hoping for the best, but knowing I will also have to start over with some plants.  Such is the gardener's fate.
