My humble introduction
on: May 12, 2012, 04:34:09 PM
Hello all!

Just a guy here from northern California, finally signed up. I know forums can be a big time sucker so I waited as long as I could. I spend a lot of time on a few other forums and finally broke down and joined this fine group.

I decided to spend some time poking around here and see how a forum on multitools could be so intriguing. I have seen some impressive stuff here, especially with SAK custom work. I have to admit I carry/store a number of multitools in various places but their usage is minimal. I think it's just because I have access to a lot of tools throughout the day and I am somewhat of a minimalist. I have been spending some $ on SAK's lately, mainly the smaller versions. I always have a SAK with me, and truly have the alox addiction.

Anyway, I look forward to participating and learning way more than I expect!

Tom

Some Classics, Ramblers, a red Cadet and Blue Pioneer, all alox (and a few non-alox...)
I just scored a splash anodized Rambler from Swiss Bianco (red/black), I'll get pics up as soon as I get a chance. I am a busy guy so I only get a chance to take extra pics when I'm doing product photos   :D

Thanks for the welcome. I have never seen a ribbed alox, very nice! And yes, the other is equally nice. My SAK's are users, I have no problem putting them all in the rotation (well, except for the splash anodized one...). I need to take photos of that first!

I'm sorry to inform you, but we already have a Tom from California, and I'm not sure I can handle another.  We already have a few dozen Al's from the UK and that's confusing enough!  :P

Seriously, welcome to the forum, and the other Tom from Cali is someone you want to know if SAK mods are of interest to you.  We know him better around here as Rotokid, and he has all the supplies you could ever need for making and modding SAKs:

If you don't see what you want, send him an email since there's no way he could list absolutely everything.

I am familiar with his web site, at this time I refuse to go down that slippery slope!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
