Day 13

Kick off weekend at camp. Rebar cut down some wood to toss in the fire, opened the hotdogs, and helped sharpen a hotdog stick.  It's big brother, the other ST300 lives in the camper here.

Day 13

My son was struggling with the fuel line on his motorcycle so I handed him my Rebar. I followed that up with a slight scolding since he has 2 ST300s and a Powerpint, but had left them all at the house.

(This is an awesome thread and the Rebar is an awesome tool, but I've lost motivation to complete this challenge. Carry on, good friends.)
Swaying back and forth between contented minimalism and an obsession with multitools. Looking forward to getting a GOAT tool and a Roxon Flex.

It's barely day 14 and I woke up hungry.  Sometimes you wake up in the middle of the night and you just have to have a peanut butter and cayenne pepper sandwich.  Right?  You all know what I'm talking about.   I think I could have gone heavier on the cayenne though.

Day 14

As you may know Harley drives a truck. On the side though I teach folks how to shoot bad guys. Mostly police and sheriff departments but occasionally US government folks including the Postal Service one time.

Anyhow was doing the thing Saturday and noticed the battery on my pistol red dot needed replacement. The dot flashes when it is low.

Fat boy gets to work removing the little screw on the battery compartment. It’s small flat driver a perfect fit, like it was made for it.

Then Harley promptly drops the tiny screw on the featureless giant dirty concrete floor. Turns out the Skinth has a spot for a small flashlight, yay.

Disaster of having to borrow a students rifle to find said screw averted.

Day 13?

So the above post was supposed to happen yesterday but the boys and I may have been out on the town till the wee hours.

Anyhow just imagine this is in order and not all backwards in content.

You may wonder why my ST 300 is named Fat Man. Well around 2015 I was overseas in Afghanistan and my good friend from here at MTO sold me a Rebar from his epic “review” thread that he had named Little Boy.

From there the new adventures of Little Boy happened and life was good.

https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,55754.0.html

Never got Joel to sell me Fat Man, his ST 300 from the same thread so thought this challenge would be a great opportunity to buy one of my own.

Here the new Fat Man poses with the OG Little Boy.

If anyone had downloaded the video where we literally blew up Lynn’s multi tool please let me get a copy. Mine disappeared from Photobucket somehow.

Day 14

No uses so far today, but I did open a cider too late last night to post. I don't know if the Rebar bottle opener is nicer or I'm just getting more used to the LM style ones, I usually wind up mangling the caps with them.

Day 14

Used my Rebar's file spine to strike a ferro rod to get the fire going at camp today. I keep a bic lighter wrapped in gorilla tape, a ferro rod, a couple zip ties, a LM extension with double ended phillips #1 and #2 bit, and a AAA Olight in my pouch along with the Rebar when doing the camp thing.

In my watch pocket 24/7 is an Altoids Smalls tin with Olight iR2, mini lighter, container with homemade fire starter (dryer lint with petroleum jelly- lights with sparks from a ferro rod), a small chunk of waxed fire starter (burns longer than my homemade stuff), P38 can opener, splinter remover, mini knife, 2 fish hooks, 2 sinkers, 2 large cotter pins, and about 25 feet of fishing line. There's a couple small pieces of gorilla tape on the outside too.

It sounds like a lot, but it's just a Leatherman sheath and an Altoids Smalls tin! I love being prepared.  :climber:

Day 15
I had a dead air plant on my fence and had to untwist the wire holding it in place to remove and replace it.

Day 15

Rebar helped replace a doorknob. In the end, I think we'll wind up replacing the door, it's got quite a bit of wear and tear, and doesn't look like they quite lined things up right in the first place, but this was an easy project and a big improvement.

Day 15

All of a sudden it's the end of the day, so I snapped a pic of the Rebar while I took care of the chickens. When I built the coop, the Rebar came in quite handy. Now that I need a quick picture for the Rebar challenge, the coop came in handy lol.
