Sounds nasty!I think I’d be fixing that with paraffin, a match, and an insurance claim.
What I can see in the photo doesn't look bad. I guess it rotted at the points that it touched the ground?
Took some old rotten garden furniture apart this afternoon. The P4 was fine for most of it, but for the really stubborn bits, I broke out the Crunch too. [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
Nice photo Crunchie!
Happy Easter Oleksandr to you and your family!
Hope you had a great Easter, and good to see you again. Hope all is at least okay with you and yours!
Thank you my friend, thankfully we are indeed more or less safe and doing okay, considering the situation. Good to be back 😃 hope you’re having great times 👍🏻

I wound up doing the same thing with my Beetle tire. I couldn't find that hubcap remover to save me! Once everything was put back together, it turned up....in the glovebox
Good to hear you were able to install your (space saver) spare and continue on. A lot of cars don't come with a spare any more which means for many tyre failures you will need to be taken away with a flat-top recovery truck. In my VW Golf the lug bolt cover remover was with the spare wheel, jack etc in the boot. It is just a piece of wire with an L shape (to hook on the inside of the cover) and a round circle for a finger to pull on.PSA After the tyre place has repaired your tyre, then loosen and re-tighten all the lug bolts to make sure they weren't over-tightened by a gorilla using too many ugga-duggas on the air-wrench when installing the fixed tyre.
That wonderful awl!
