Sounds nasty!

I think I’d be fixing that with paraffin, a match, and an insurance claim.

TBH I didn't know if I could place it back one piece and working. But it is better than just let them sit in a bag forever. Now I am pretty confident there is no roach in the X220.

Took some old rotten garden furniture apart this afternoon.

The P4 was fine for most of it, but for the really stubborn bits, I broke out the Crunch too.

What I can see in the photo doesn't look bad. I guess it rotted at the points that it touched the ground?

Actually, no.

I got it third-hand, passed through a couple of family members.

It spent about five years getting more and more overgrown by brambles and other weeds, so there are patches of rot on just about every section.

A shame, because it’s a nice chunky chair.

 :salute:

For a smallish tool the Crunch is surprisingly robust, and when you really need locking pliers normal pliers just can't do the job.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate 🎊.

My wife asked me to open a bottle of kombucha for her
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

and since I already had a cap lifter ready - I used it to poke a hole in a coconut
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Worked really well. But. I wanted to mix some protein with coconut juice, so in order to be able to easily pour juice into the shaker I needed two holes. Awl to the rescue.

Glad I made this custom Wave - it's gonna be 10 years since I received it as gift from my mom - after all the years of use and quite a few mods - it has a really special place in my heart and I use it every now and again  :multi:.

Unfortunately as we got in the car to take Mrs Alarm 7 out to the Outback for Mother's Day dinner the dreaded TPMS light came out and the car said the left rear tire lost pressure. Sure enough, screw. Never changed the tire myself yet on this newer (awesome) VW we got, the manual said a wire thing came with the kit to pull the lugnut cover off. We got the car gently used, it was not in evidence. No matter...Wave to the rescue. Worked great.

I wound up doing the same thing with my Beetle tire.  I couldn't find that hubcap remover to save me!  Once everything was put back together,  it turned up....in the glovebox

Good to hear you were able to install your (space saver) spare and continue on.  A lot of cars don't come with a spare any more which means for many tyre failures you will need to be taken away with a flat-top recovery truck.

In my VW Golf the lug bolt cover remover was with the spare wheel, jack etc in the boot.  It is just a piece of wire with an L shape (to hook on the inside of the cover) and a round circle for a finger to pull on.

PSA  After the tyre place has repaired your tyre, then loosen and re-tighten all the lug bolts to make sure they weren't over-tightened by a gorilla using too many ugga-duggas on the air-wrench when installing the fixed tyre.

I tore the car apart but I'll bet like you I find it when everything is said and done  :ahhh

Happily the car had everything BUT this spare tire wise....and always good advice RE the tightening.

Fixed (bandaided) the oakley latch ex glasses "sock" (left arm) . It's splitting at one end. Cut a piece of heatshrink with surge and cricket helped to shrink to size. That should hold up well before (if I can) get the replacements.

It also answer my wife why I am carrying strange things and my stuffs are mostly black.

Over the winter apparently the nuts holding porch swing chains onto bolts have worked loose, one fell in the grass and had buy replacement.

The ST300, checked awl nuts to ensure tighten.

After completed this pose was captured.

That wonderful awl!

Before MTo.org, never used the awl.

After, the awl, the corkscrew on SAks, are used maybe more than a blade.

Have not broken a knife tip since😉

Not the clearest photo, but I used the Crunch to clamp the fuel line on my Mum’s mower while I took the pipe off to drain old petrol out of it.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

New fuel didn’t do the trick, unfortunately, and the Crunch and P4 got involved in stripping the carburettor down. No pictures, as that was already a three-handed job.

Back home, using the Free P4 to cut garden twine to build pyramids for my peas.

Had to replace a window handle today because a few days earlier I tried to open a window, it got a bit stuck, I applied some force and - oh well - handle left in my hand 😬.
Consequences of visiting gym on a regular basis 🤣.

Really like the ratchet - LM should have released this accessory years ago 👍🏻

After all the years of hesitation I finally bought a pocket clip. Awesome. Should have bought it long ago. Now I carry my Wave everywhere I go so it’s a good thing by to keep it safe on me. You never know when you might need it to build a bed in the bomb shelter if need be just like in the first days of war.

So, well, I used my Wave with a pocket clip to see if I like it and I do 😃

A BOND’s awl was was utilized to make a few dribble water bottles to slowly hydrate my outdoor flowers today.   Slow and steady saturation of the potting soil…

I did a bit of gardening this morning, a good chance to test some new long protective gloves.

Advertised as thornproof, cutproof, stingproof.

They’re useless.

Very tempted to chop them in to tiny pieces with the Raptor and post them back to the supplier.
