I was exposed to that stuff so much growing up I don't think I'm even susceptible anymore. One thing that does love my skin however is chiggars
I grew up in Michigan, and spent a lot of time on my grandfather's farm... I got LOTS of poison ivy and chiggers as a kid... and yes, getting chiggers is awful! I'd rather have poison ivy than chiggers! Ashley, get yourself some of this stuff called "Tecnu"... it's a miracle soap for poison oak. I still get into it every now and again, so I have a standard policy of washing up good with Tecnu after every hike if I even just see a sprig of the stuff... I get it really bad. It has saved my bacon several times... reduced the effect of serious exposures, and prevented any outbreak from minor or slight exposures. The stuff is a miracle... well worth the price.http://www.teclabsinc.com/store/poison-oak-ivy/tecnu
glad I never had to deal with these things in Australia, our principle problem in the wild was always dropbears.
The darn blasted neighbors don't trim there bushes, trees, ect and they were growing in my AC unit ...
