I have a bad habit of getting lippy   it does NOT make things work out better   I am improving a little with the years though.

I've encountered this kind of crap in NYC fairly often. It is usually from teenagers testing their ability to instill fear. If you don't show weakness nothing seems to happen. As I've gotten older I've become a bit lippy too, which is probably not a good thing

years back i wouldnt of just been lippy i would of thrown a punch,im glad i kept cool as for one i was straddling my bike so speed would of been slown down plus one that bottle could of done me or them harm or i could of hurt them and got in worse trouble just for deffending myself, i defused it by staying calm and then riding away, i think my age came into this a bit plus i did door work for a few years and learnt how to deal with drunk folk

yes thats my MTB, ive been into bikes since 6 and never been without one or 7    these days ive only 3 and would not part with any of them without a fight, so im glad it diffused,

Just read this, glad you're ok Zed!  Keeping cool is always the best course, and it looks like you were able to non verbally intimidate them right back so that's a good thing.  Really glad you didn't get cut up bro.

This type of this just pisses me off though.  Here you are, minding your business on your way home to your girls, and these jacksmurfs wanna hold you up and threaten you.  If they only knew they were putting a father in danger.  Makes me worry about my wife and tiny kids out without me.  I tremble in anger at the thought of anyone messing with them.

   this cracked me up tony, and by the point of choosing i would of had the bottle in my neck  although i dont thin the opie #3 would of been much use    slight flesh wound perhaps    also open to the thats not a knife this is a knife situation

Just read this and glad to hear your ok. Being a tattooed person myself (30+tattoos and counting) sometimes they do help scare off the rif raf. Well that and I do carry an auto knife with me most of the time .
