Credit where it belongs, the swap was inspired by Poncho65 who did it before me. Then having a SS and BO rebar in front of me (the SS modded) I simply had no choice but to give in. Intensely gratifying little mod, that is

Well, i  spent a lot on some leathermans last 2 weeks, got a skeletool CX because my wave, bit kit, aaa light and what else was in my skinth, were to heavy for my shorts, then realized i wanted a crunch too for grabbing stubborn  nuts and broken screws.

After that, i thought, it might be handy to have a good but cheaper tool than a wave to hang arround in the car or work bag.
After reading here, i decided on the Rebar.
It looks stronger than the a wingman i once had, altough the price was almost the same.

It came with a small leather sheath, but the skeletool Cx came with a big nylon one, perfect suited for the rebar and bit kit! (Skeletool is worn skeleted, clipped in the pocket).
Did some paracord in yellow to it, functional, but looks good too

Now only need to find a aa or preferred aaa sized yellow flashlight ....

Purchasing spree - cool!  And definitely a nice haul (although I find the Skeletool a bit pointless, not for you, in general)!

Skeletool is a bare minimum i agree, but calling it pointless is a bit too harsh i think.
 It is very personal if a tool works for anyone, to me a skeletool has its purposes, many days i do not need more than pliers, good knife, wire cutters and screwdriver, and i want it to be in my shorts pocket, not on a belt.

Rebar is to heavy for my shorts front pocket, and serves other tasks,for example, on ham radio field days, when can openers, files and saws come in handy.
But i really like the big file on the rebar allready, even beter than the one on my wave. But also that has it purpose with its diamond coated side. Works great as my manly manicure

I completely agree, I guess I should have been more clear: pointless for me. Enjoy both your Skeletool and Rebar!
