Just to update; You guys were 100% correct by the way.

Been using my Rebar all day, everything from servicing my farther in law’s van to fixing the kitchen sink, and tons of other bits and bobs here and there, and it’s a lot better now.

A lot easier and smoother now

Good to hear! As I said, just keep at it and it will loosen up very nicely!  :tu:

Glad you're liking it  :tu:
When I got my Rebar the pliers were way too tight and I didn't like it very much! But now I've loosened them off I love it, it's one of my favourite tools.
I do like my pliers fairly loose though, I find it makes my job easier!

Hope this link works as well, since YouTube doesn’t like me for some reason....must be something it has against Danish people?

Anyway; I am surprised how must looser and smother they are now, after just a couple of hours working with it. It’s a whole different tool now

Yeah I love it! ....the light and compact design plus the simplicity of it, is awesome to say the least.

This is the reason I bought it too, after having spend a week back home in Denmark with my old LM Kick.....simplicity is just better, no doubts about it

I feel the same when it comes to cars / machines, or even computers / electronics, and also the same reason I stay away from most German cars or most modern cars for that matter, too much crap to go wrong and a nightmare to fix every time

Sweet and congrats with it

Will you do a comparison with the ST300, like the other writeup you did with the Surge, ST300 and wave?

Congrats with Your Rebar Antti,  love your comparison on them.

Well today gonna be in town, so decided on the rebar for today, with the Vic classic as company for te scissors and less hostile look when i have to cut something. It gets more accepted when  i first try with the classic, and then bring out the bigger tool.
Altough i never had any comment when using a mt or big ugly knife like the hawkbill, in some occasions i am carefull not to scare people on first sight. Mostly i hear “oh that is handy, thank you” when i helped out someone :D

Question:

Which “leatherman” sheath fits the Rebar, that has an internal pocket for a bit kit and elastic side with a “pocket”/Mount for a bit extender?

To my understanding the one for the Wave should fit, but there are two models (which look exactly the same?)

1)

https://www.multi-tool-store.co.uk/accessories-c34/leatherman-leather-belt-sheath-for-wave-sidekick-wingman-p856

Says it is compatible with both the wave, sidekick and wingman

2)

https://www.multi-tool-store.co.uk/accessories-c34/leather-belt-sheath-for-leatherman-wave-p1370

Says it only fits the wave? ....and it is almost half the price?

Any help or input would be appreciated.

For me it has to be a leather sheath, I don’t like the nylon ones at all.
