I may be working on a holster for the Rebar sometime in the next few months.
For now I made a 3D model and rendering. The model is the closed external parts only.

Wow, it looks even better than the real thing with these every so slightly more angular, boxy lines.  :like:

I carried my new to me SS Rebar today  I got this one of eBay and had to clean it up and get some rough spots off of it but all in all it was in great shape  :tu:

A great everyday carry.  I luv my REBARS, carry mine either in box sheath on belt or naked (tool)in pocket.

I just wanted to mention that my customizable holder for the Leatherman Rebar is now available. See my signature for details and a video showing how it works.

Can’t remember if I ever joined or not. I gave mine to my brother in law. He’s hard on multitools. He’s broken numerous super tools and a surge. The rebar I gave him some years ago is still going strong, so I decided to order another for myself. Now the wait.

This Rebar is extremely tight. I just spent the last couple hours opening and closing it while watching Beer Fest (great movie by the way) and it made no difference.  :P

Had similar issue with mine. I found that I needed to really work up some friction heat on the pivot (noticeably warmer to the touch) and it began to release a little grey residue with some penetrating oil (fine ground metal). Then I knew the friction was helping to bed in the pivot and it did loosen up...but it took some perseverance  :)
