*shrug*

I'll leave that up to minds more powerful than mine - but it remains that plastic packaging is not an option for most dealers, so I don't see it becoming too frequent in the market

Def - unlike honest, red dirt loving gents such as you and myself, is a "beer swilling hosehead" (Remember kids, stay in school; Youtube is not legitimate education)

I understand that up north, they, amongst other bizarre things, have Leathermans in clam packs.

I'm going to follow up this Coles thing, it's interesting for a few reasons - example being the first I've heard of a major retailer in Oz stocking Leatherman.

Shoot, I knew I was doing something wrong!  :-[

I meant Def - he is in Canada, so I presume he has a North American edition Skeletool.

I don't disbelieve you, I'm just interested.

"beer swilling hosehead" is a thing for Canadians. I think it came from Saturday Night Live?  ???

I'll take your word for the dirt, I'm a coastal Ocean-lover myself. We'll have to agree to disagree on whether the sea or the land is rougher

They don't have to go through me, but it's nice if they keep me appraised of what I can expect in my deliveries.

Anyway, I'll call 'em up again and ask specifically about the Skeletool packaging - I want to know when they'll have some stock for me as it is.

In yukky terms "I do retail"

I'm like one of those two dollar stores, you know those ones with everything from colourful beads, to novelty hats, to tools?

Like that, except everything is fancy brand name stuff, often hard-to-find and imported, and it hurts my feelings if someone leaves the store with less than five grand on the bill.

I'm still no better than the jerk at K-Mart, but if I use enough prose, it sounds like I'm in a classy sort of business.

Actually, it wasn't Saturday Night Live, it was SCTV- while this may not be a legitimate education, it should work well enough for our needs! :D

And, I do not as of yet have a Skeletool....   :(

My Skeletool came in the  black & yellow Leatherman box.  If you look in the Leatherman Wholesale catalog, you find statements similar to "Available with a leather or nylon sheath in clamshell or box packaging".

Cheers - Joe
