AA & AAA battery chargers - suggestions?
on: May 22, 2012, 12:50:06 PM
Hi,

I am also on the lookout for a decent quality AA & AAA battery charger.
The AA & AAA batteries get the most use at home what with my sons toys, remotes etc (and soon to be my new EDC light! :) ) so I am now looking for a decent charger as the one I currently have has let me down a few times.

Any help appreciated.

Kind regards,
G.

I posted about mine here, so I will not repeat my post:

Really, decide what you want and spend the money.
A good smart charger lasts for ever, so the initial cost is not that important.

The good brands and availability may depend a bit on where you are but the internet makes all available.

EDIT: I see you are in the UK, so maybe a LIDL one will be a good cheap option (buy the "good" one)

Maha MH-C9000 Charger-Analyzer. I believe that this is one of the most recommended smart chargers on CPF. It works well for me. Easy to use with many features.

I'll second this recommendation.  I've got a C9000 and it's the best charger I've ever used.

You might also want to check out the new "inteli-charger", it can do both nimh and li-ion cells, and has gotten a good review from Selfbuilt on CPF.  It's about half the price of a C9000, but doesn't have some of the advanced features the C9000 has, like break-in, reconditioning and refreshing, etc.

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

I saw this Technoline BL-700 Intelligent AA-AAA battery charger a bit earlier and well I just bought it without any further delay. Should be here tomorrow!

Thanks again.
