How do you like it Colt?

I really like it, I bought so I don't trash my pst. Not sure about the exposed gears especially when using the drivers. I'm going to hammer on it so time will tell.

It's pretty cool, but I am stuck in some God awful challenge and can't use my new tools. :)

Cool.  Yeah, it sounds like the gears can be annoying.  I have rarely carried mine after the initial newness factor wore off.  The main thing I like about it is the smooth action of opening up the handles.

I'm in, have been for a while now
I think this MT is highly under rated
Anyone who missed out on the Leatherman PST or hasn't been able find one, would be well served with the
SOG PPP
The plier's  head is excellent IMHO, weight is great, and basically one hand opening
But you all know that

Dear PPP Owners....
I've been thinking about getting one for some time and making it bladeless, since the bladeless fuse is impossible to find, and swapping out the blade for scissors. My concern is that the edges on the tool when the pliers are deployed look EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Is that just looks, do they eat into your hands or are they normal with other multi's in terms of comfort?

btw, for background sake I have experience with wingman, diesel, flik, powerduo, mp600, rebar, wave, and others. Thanks ahead for the replies.

Not sure about the PPPs. My Powerlock have the handle covers on them. I take them off every now and again and for the most part the handles when cutting or gripping stuff don't seem to bother me unless I am really torquing down on something. The PPPs remind me more of a LM PST.

I broke one tip of the plier. Does anyone know where replacement tips may be purchased?

You can send it to SOG and they will fix it free of charge. Or you can buy the plier head for around $15 and fix it yourself.

No problem. I forgot to say, if you buy the plier head form SOG and fix it yourself, it DOES NOT void the warranty.

An amazing good little MT, and legal in countries with no-lock laws. One of the best accurate pliers for tight spaces ever. Esp. electronic device chasis, and tight spaces wiring. I have it dangling around my neck when doing small work. If I did that with my Surge I'd be on disability collecting National Insurance maintenance .

Here's mine.
Replaced a dearly loved Bucktool with a broken lock spring. Buck's "lifetime warranty" says I can have $70 worth of knives I don't want, but no repair on my tool.
Anyway, I'm digging the PPP. Swapped in the wire stripper, which is decent. Looking to add a couple more small tools in the washer spots. Maybe fit in a Vik scissors.

After owning many multitools the PPP is the only one I have kept. Thanks to ThePeacent for selling it to me, I probably would never have bought one if it hadn't have turned up on the classifieds here. For me it's the perfect pocketable size with more capable pliers compared to the PST. The exposed gears have never been an issue, in fact I like the industrial design. Legal to carry here in the UK too.

very glad to see it's working out for you.
I lost mine on August 2017 but I loved it too and always thought it had no competition in its size and weight/thickness category,

a tool ahead of its time and very easy to carry with you
