Another quarantine photoshoot.
Short story about why I got this next one.
I bought my Free P4 the first day the P4 was available over here, months later the Belgian Leatherman Distributor lowered the price on the P4 from 199.98€ to 189.98€.
The people who'd already bought their P4 at release got a 20€ discount on their next purchase (only when they bought something worth 35€ or more).
Since there wasn't anything I really wanted/needed, I went for the cheapest option to get my 20€ discount, which was the "new" Style CS in Coyote (costing around 39€ it was this or a set of Leatherman bits, which are crazy expensive over here).
Anyway, this is how I got this beauty (I really like this Coyote version).

Got this next one as a Christmas gift from the wife and kids.
I've always wanted a Helle knife and this one was on top of the list because it's small and cute, very non-threatening, but quite capable and full-tang.
The Helle Mândra by Les Stroud (his multitool might s*ck, but the man knows how to design a good knife).

Thanks guys
.
It's a great little knife, I think you guys would be surprised by how small it actually is (I should've placed a SAK next to it in one shot for comparison).
Let's just say that the handle has room for 3 fingers, but still, the shape of the blade makes it very comfortable and very natural to use, even with quite a bit of force.

If it's okay for you I'll take one tomorrow, that way I can take it outside, with natural light.
Any SAK or Leatherman in particular you'd like me to put next to it?

As promised
.
My Helle Mândra vs a Vic Explorer and a Leatherman Crunch (for some reason I assumed that at least one of you guys would own a Crunch as well, don't know where I got that idea...
).
Beautiful weather for a photoshoot, too bad we're a bit limited in options on where to host this photoshoot these days...
Anyway, hope these pics were useful, as you can see, the length of the knife blade on the Mândra is almost exactly the same as the blade length on a 91mm SAK. But thanks to the handle/blade shape and the awesome finger choil on the Mândra it offers a lot of stability during use, to me it feels as if the Mândra was custom made to fit my hand.

Glad you guys liked it
.
So, another quarantine day, another photoshoot.
Stumbled upon this next knife by accident, started doing some research on it (google/youtube). And with every review I read/saw, I wanted it more and more.
So I ordered one and it was love at first sight...
Here it is, the Casström Woodsman Bog Oak version.
It's a full tang knife that's made out of Böhler k720 steel, and the very comfortable handle is made out of Bog Oak (which is 4000 - 5000 year old English oak). And the leather sheath is great quality as well.
Here are the pics:

And since we all know two is one and one is none... This one is for the collection, and even though this one also has Bog Oak handles, they are more dark, almost black.

Just to be clear, I didn't buy all of these this last month or so, all the stuff I'm posting know is bought over the last 3 years. But I just never found the time to take pics of them until now...
So, did I mention they also have a Curly Birch version of the Casström Woodsman?

Thanks guys
.
The Curly Birch is also a real beauty indeed, but the first Bog Oak is going to be my user knife, since the Bog Oak handle offers better grip than the Curly Birch, which is a bit slippy (even in dry conditions, so I guess it will be worse in wet conditions).
And the sheaths are all great, high quality and beautifully made. And I bought a dangler for them, so I can put the dangler on my belt at home, and clip on the Woodsman when I start my hike.

So much awesomeness. Where to start? I love that Coyote Style. Ok I love everything you posted. That curly birch is so gorgeous
.
I miss your terrific pictures. I was so happy to see you posted and posted PICTURES. You've got to place a little item in the pics so no one steals them. Maybe a keepsake or something?

Thank you for the kind words Aloha
.
I'm happy you like the pics, and as the matter of fact, my pics have been used without my permission two times (as far as I know).
The first time I contacted them and they handled it very correctly, they apologized for using the pics without permission and offered me a free (not THE FREE, that one didn't exist at the time) Leatherman of my choice, and I went for the BO Rebar.
So they handled it like true gentlemen, and I still buy most of my stuff there, great shop.
The other I didn't even contact, I didn't speak the language they spoke, and I think they would've just ignored me...
