At the same time

Apparently that's the way it was there, 20 years ago, with more than half of them going home quite drunk at the end of their shift, and some so drunk they couldn't remember where they parked their car when the arrived in the early morning...  ::)

But those days are gone (thank God).

Short walk today, and since we went early enough, the big crowd wasn't there yet...

Thanks mate  :salute:.

This is the river "Grote Nete" (Grote meaning big) there's a "Kleine Nete" river (kleine meaning small) as well, which flows a couple of miles to the north of the Grote Nete, both rivers come together in the city Lier, to form the "Nete" river.

Yes, we are a creative bunch when it comes to naming our rivers...

Yep, the cutest Leatherman out there in my opinion (with the Micra on 2nd and the Style CS/PS on 3th place).

Nice pictures with cool tools and lovely area. Surely nice to hike along the river...  :dd:

Waldstatt, Switzerland. My workplace today after work. In the background the freshly snow-covered Alpstein with the 2502 m high Säntis.

I've shown my simple, worn out working knife here enough, so the focus is on the landscape.

Somehow I missed that beautiful pic Peter...   :-[

I was just going to post something myself when I noticed it, and once again,it's a stunning pic  :o.

That scenery is so...  :dd:

Thanks for sharing it here my friend, gives us something to dream about, during these dark gloomy days...

Any pic following this one will have a hard time living up to the expectations, so I guess I'll just get on with it...  ::).

Every year I try to help with the Christmas decoration...

And for some reason, Misses TG-24 never seems to appreciate it...

Eric, I suffer with you!  ;)

A flea market is also a public place, isn't it? Unfortunately, knifes and place are not in the same photo, but today I got some "Christmas decorations" at this flea market. But my wife claims they are only pocket knives.

No matter I like them anyway.  :climber:

Because of the current situation, I hardly ever visit public places. Except around the house and the workplace.

Yesterday at a little walk by Winterthur, Switzerland

Today at work break by Waldstatt, Switzerland

Beautiful pics as always .

And nevermind that "public place" aspect my friend, half of the pics I post here are shot in our garden  ;).

Anything goes here, it's all good  :tu:.

Thanks for sharing those sweet pics here mate, you know how much I appreciate that  :hatsoff:.

Hey Peter,

Our garden is actually quite small, but by picking the right spots, the magic of photography can hide this quite well  ;).

Best wishes to you and your loved ones as well my friend, and let's hope this Covid-19 thing will soon be a thing of the past, and 2021 will give us a chance to go on vacation again (we miss the Austrian/Swiss mountains here...).

But until then, stay safe my friend  :salute:.

Happy New Year .

Hey John,

Amazing pics my friend .

So, it's actually mid-summer over there, right?
That is so awesome when you think of it.

A bit late, but Merry Christmas for you as well, and a Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.

Keep it safe, and let's hope 2021 will make us forget about 2020 as soon as possible (in a good way, not worse  :ahhh).

Greetings from Belgium .

Finally I can post some pics of my Christmas gift which only arrived this tuesday, thanks to Post.nl  ::).

It only took them 15 days to get a package from The Netherlands to Belgium, well actually, it took them 3 days to get it into Belgium, and the other 12 for losing all track of it...

Anyway, after a lot of frustrating e-mails, chat sessions and phone calls with Post.nl, the shop where I ordered it send me another one, which arrived the next day.

So here it is, my new Victorinox...

I had been thinking about getting myself the Inox or Airboss Automatic, but they were above my current budget, and then I found this Titanium Inox at a -35% discount, so it was too good to let it pass...

The delay is annoying, on the other hand, waiting for something can make the joy grow more ...
What a beautiful watch! And the GITD Vic. shield ... so cool!  :dd:

Yes, we also miss traveling to our favorite places. But it's the same; if we have to wait longer, the joy is even greater ...

Today at work I drove by here:

Thanks guys, I really like the watch and I'm so happy that this one happened to be on discount.

They also have this Titanium version with a black dial and black rubber strap, but I love the more classic look of the one I got, with the green dail, the contrasting red military time and seconds hand, and the brown leather strap, for some reason it reminds me of a WWII plane, like a P40 Thunderbolt or something...

And about the leather strap, I read somewhere that the leather strap is made from the same leather as firemans' boots in Switzerland, and that it's flame resistant/retardant, don't know if it's true, but that sure would be cool.

So happy with it, and when it arrived, Misses TG-24 said "well, your first Victorinox watch", first being an important word here, it means she already knows that there will be more in the future 😉.

About vacation, our last vacation was back in 2018 (in 2019 we renovated our home, so no vacation budget that year, but we could always go back on vacation in 2020, yeah right... 🙄).

And the way things are going, summer 2021 is still very questionable...

Until then we will try to get a bit of that vacation vibe from the beautiful pics you guys post here  ;).

Peter, those last two pics are once again beautiful, great to create that Christmas/New Year feeling, thanks my friend  :salute:.

Greetings to both you guys, stay safe  :salute:.

Eric
