Today I had time for the first time this year to go into the forest with Junior.
Our small forest camp is still standing, the ground is a bit swampy but otherwise 3°C and a few blue spots in the cloudy sky - almost like spring!

Small fire for our sausages - and Junior tried various knives to carve. Was a good afternoon in the woods!

Thank you Echotech! Yes, it was great!

Today my son and I had more time and the weather was even better. (Sunshine is pretty rare in our area during these months)
We walked up our favorite city hill, further through the forest and then to the indoor pool. another good day!

Went up to the Blue Mountains again today. Been a very wet summer so it’s very green up there, very different from two years ago when so much of it was burnt

Thanks for the nice pics, Echotech. Good thing it rained more and there was no acute risk of fire.
Summer...  :dd: Here in the flat part of Switzerland it is cold, damp and windy.
After all, the dark, foggy winter days without sunshine are over.

Today we walked for hours through the woods with a break by the fire.
We look forward to spring when nature awakens here again from the winter break.

Walk in the forest alone, small fire, sausages, bread and dates.
Even the evening sun came out for me.
A bit of switching off from all the problems felt really good!

Nice pictures, Echotech.
I always enjoy your landscapes, they look so different from my area. Except for your pic with the view between the fog, there are very similar landscapes here.
And to see happy dogs always make me smile.

Too bad it's so quiet here...

Here are a few more hiking pics on the way down to Lake Brienz, Switzerland

Ridge trail - love it!

But it's also a steep descent...

This part (called Lättgässli) was steep and icy, a combination I don't like. A look back
