Just noticed that I had some pics on my smartphone that I forgot to post here ...

Took these last September, during "open monuments day".  The church clocktower in my hometown was open for visitors that day, so I had to go and have a look  ;).

The church was build around 1227 A.D., it was destroyed by a fire and rebuild in the year 1553 A.D. , in 1799 A.D. (during French occupation) the clocks were destroyed, and in 1940 A.D. the Belgian Army dynamited the tower (like they did with all church- and other towers) so the German occupier couldn't use it as surveillance tower.  The tower was rebuild in 1943 A.D. in its current state.  There, that's the history of our church in short.

Pic from the church tower, taken from the road to the old cemetery.

Pic taken from inside the tower, here you see the town "square".

A pic of the bells.

A pic of the road to the old cemetery (from where the first pic was taken).

And some pics of my trusty Swisschamp, which is always by my side ...

Hope you guys enjoyed the trip  ;).

Thanks for the likes guys  :salute:.

Here are some pics I took for the "Januari 2019 MTO Calendar" topic.  Some of these made it to the final cut, others didn't but are still good enough to be posted in this topic  ;).

First up, a pic from the MTO PX:

Next a pic of the MTO PX alongside the 2017 Limited Edition Pioneer.

And last but not least, some pics of my latest SAK, my Victorinox S54.  I bought this one because I found a nice deal on it (almost half of the regular price).  And when I received it I liked it so much that I ordered another one the same day (at the same great price).

This is a very nice SAK to fiddle with, I also own a couple of Wenger Evowoods which were only bought for my collection, and not for EDC.  But this one was my first red scaled (be it the Evogrip) version and I bought the second one so I could use one of them as EDC (as alternative for my regular EDC SAK, my trusty Swisschamp).  And I really like the 85mm size, and the Evolution scales, maybe this was just because it was something new at first, but after two weeks I still like it very much.

:D

When I first saw them online, there were 4 of them left, I bought only one, thinking it was clearly a mistake (since I'd never seen them this cheap).  When the postman rang my doorbel the next day I still expected to get something else (be it another, but thinner SAK, or even a fake).  But when I opened the box I saw it was the real thing, so I went back to the site to order the other 3, only to see there was only one left ...  ::).   And about 30 minutes after I ordered the last one it said 0 in stock (and I was a bit nervous that I was too late, since the mail they send me said they always check the credit card payement first, and this can take up to two hours ...  :ahhh ).

But an hour later I got the e-mail confirming that I got the last one  :woohoo:.

To be honest ... I thought you were the one who bought the other two, since somedays it seems like you and me are the only two Belgian SAK buyers out there (I know there are others, but your name does pop up from time to time on 2dehands.be  ;)).

Anyway, I'm very happy with my two S54's.  Like I said in this topic, I once let a Wenger S54 slip through my fingers (in a manner of speaking  ;)) back in 2014 in Liechtenstein, so I'm very happy to have the Vic Delémont version now.

I'm a bit of a cheapskate.
I try to jump on the REALLY good deals and try to get as rare models as possible for the least amount of money possible.
(Horn scaled 84mm Golfer, NIB, long nail file: $25, Mauser: trade value €35, Swissflame: €25, ...)
Which results in not to many purchases...
But getting a rare model dirt cheap does feel even better :D

Care to pm me what the price was?

Some pics I took during a hike last Friday, while shooting pics for the MTO Calendar February topic ... (For now I only entered one of these pics, but I might just enter another one of these also, if you guys like them).

This is the one I entered for the MTO Calendar this month:

These next ones didn't make the cut (yet  :D):

Let me know if you have a favorite of these last three that you think I should also enter for the Calendar topic  ;).
