Some pics I took early February for the Calendar topic, but these also didn't make the final cut.

So I guess I'll just "dump" them here, keeping this topic on life support by doing so ...  ::)

P.S.: In these pics you can see the one knife that never leaves my EDC, my trusty Swisschamp.

Snow in London

I've seen that scenery and that railing before ...

Great pic Kirky  :tu:.

And thanks for posting it in "my" humble topic, things have been very quiet here lately ...  I don't really understand why, this topic predates all the other "pics of your SAKs outside" and "pics of your Leatherman outside" topics, but for some reason it's just fading out ...

Oh well, guess I'll just describe this topic as "non-mainstream" or "more exclusive" ...  :P

Greetings from Belgium and thanks again mate  :salute:.

maybe it' because it's hard to define and limit what a "public space" is

a library, museum, or cafeteria are of course, but...
an abandoned mountain trail?
a natural landscape off the beaten path?
the hospital, a police station, the innards of the subway, the town hall, an electrical power station, a highway, a dam... ???

I've hesitated to post here often because of that. Most other threads like "SAK outside" or "SAK with coffee/cats/flashlights" are much more specific

+1.

And also to me public place means urban area, where I don't have that much photos anyway. I'm just not very comfortable to start taking pictures when there's a lot of people wondering around...

But anyway, I think this photo might fit in this thread. It's has some public buildings on the background.  :)

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate the fact that you guys took the time to explain why you were having doubts about posting here, thanks guys  :salute:.

Intentionally, I started this topic for pics in public places, so anything besides your own livingroom or garden was okay, and as always here on MTO, there are no real "rules", if you post a pic of a SAK on your dining table, I'm not going to give you a  :twak: (if you check this topic, you'll see that it didn't take long before I started posting pics of my tools in my own garden, since it's not always easy to get some good pics elsewhere).

And about those "public places"... anything goes.  The town-square, a bench in a park in the middle of the city, SAK stuck in a log on some remote hiking trail, or a pic during lunchbreak at work, ... wherever you are, everything is okay.  Me, I tend to search for remote places (remote being very relative in this tiny country  ::)) when I'm going for a hike/walk.   Since I love the peace and quietness of a good long nature hike, and some of the best outdoor experiences are the ones where there's no one else around in my opinion (I'm not very keen on crowds).

So go ahead, post any pic you like  :pok: (as long as you're not naked  :dwts:).

By the way, great pic madcroWisefox  :tu:.  No need for buildings in the background mate.

Maybe I just used the word "public place" wrong, English not being my native language ...  :-[

Edit: Just noticed that you're from Finland, the home country of my favorite F1 drivers (Kimi and Mika), I've not been to Finland myself (not yet  ;)), but from what I've seen in pics, it's one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and I would love to see more (nature) pics of it here  :pok:.

Well, I think that every country in the world has it's own unique nature and landscapes, which usually takes someone from a different part of the world to truly appreciate.

If older pics are ok, this is from last september:

@ ThePeacent: That's indeed a true "public pic", Thanks for sharing it here mate  :tu:.

Like I said, it doesn't need to have lots of people (or any people at all) in it, any setting will do.

Thanks again for the great pic  :salute:.

Great public pic mate, thanks for sharing it here  :salute:.

Edit: Like I said, it doens't always have to be in a "public place", a pic in the middle of nowhere is just as good in my opinion  ;).
