I am sorry that you missed out on the eclipse, Barry :(
Around here (Raleigh, NC), you could not really tell an eclipse was happening unless you had viewing glasses or created a pinhole projection. It became dimmer, but nothing like the 2017 eclipse where my area was just outside the band of totality. On that day, the sky became a deep, dark blue and everything was eerily lit.

I actually got a chance to see just a few moments of it.  The sky's cleared just enough to catch it about 5 minutes after I posted that picture.  It was great!

Here's my (second-favourite) Minichamp. I gave the other one to my brother when he moved to Spain and I hope he makes good use of it! The Minichamp here is alongside my favourite historical text -- Wulfilas' Gothic translation of the New Testament (and like five pages of Nehemiah) from ~365AD.
