My custom Blind Horse Knives flint striker...serial numbered to match my knife. They are a special order item made by Darrell Aune for BHK.

My favorites are from Darrel Aune but I've had good ones from other makers...I've got some no-name ones which aren't as good and one really bad one.

If I were looking for a good one I'd buy from a Smith I can put a name to rather than a supplier that happens to sell a striker or two.

I can't see me ever using this method of fire starting but I'd gladly hang one of those sea horses on the wall, they're superb.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

They're amazing aren't they.  I'd love to give the flint & steel method a try, but those ones I would keep safe :)

That pot was for demo only the one I use outdoors is out on loan it's a small length of wood about 3 inches long with a groove cut down it's length and a dowel like the one shown is used for the friction, place the cotton wool near wear your rubbing and hey presto cinders to start a fire  :salute:
