Could a long piece of flint be fitted with a handle like the one on a Victorinox mini-screwdriver?
Then it could ride in the corkscrew of any SAK.

I know and my new kiddo actually told her Kindergarden teacher I build rifles in the basement. She called the cops.

This incident unfortunately reminds me of Communist Russia, the old East Germany, or the even the Third Reich, where children were encouraged by teachers to rat out their parents.  Apparently many children did inform on their parents, which resulted in them being sent off to the gulags for 're-education.'

Don't you mean Cambodia under Pol Pot.

Hmm, even a big firesteel will take a lot of practice and proper tinder to light a fire, I really don't know if you can trust something that throw the same amount of spark as a bic lighter.

Actually it works pretty well, I've tested this and the Sparklite on a wide variety of tinders. The shower of sparks can be precisely directed towards the tinder. Dunno if you've used one, but the amount of sparks produced per strike is larger than the typical (smaller diameter) cigarette lighter wheel.

...and it is much easier to use for someone who is not practiced with a firesteel.

Hmm, my zippo doesn't throw a lot of spark either even with genuine zippo flint. If I recall bic actually use the same sized flint as zippo.

A while ago I had several broken rib's and went bushcrafting with a mate, and I found it close to impossible to use a ferro rod and knife spine without a great deal of pain, so any firelighter you can light one handed is a real boon :)
