The top two are my newest Aune flint striker knives.
Could a long piece of flint be fitted with a handle like the one on a Victorinox mini-screwdriver?Then it could ride in the corkscrew of any SAK.
I've got to get myself a new firesteel/flint striker since Ryan nabbed my last one

Quote from: hawkchucker on February 15, 2008, 12:16:09 AMI know and my new kiddo actually told her Kindergarden teacher I build rifles in the basement. She called the cops. This incident unfortunately reminds me of Communist Russia, the old East Germany, or the even the Third Reich, where children were encouraged by teachers to rat out their parents. Apparently many children did inform on their parents, which resulted in them being sent off to the gulags for 're-education.'.

Have you seen Tadgears Survival Spark? - LinkyI have this weird notion of embedding one of these into the side of a Vic Farmer...
Same as what you would use in a Zippo lighter.
Actually it works pretty well, I've tested this and the Sparklite on a wide variety of tinders. The shower of sparks can be precisely directed towards the tinder. Dunno if you've used one, but the amount of sparks produced per strike is larger than the typical (smaller diameter) cigarette lighter wheel....and it is much easier to use for someone who is not practiced with a firesteel.
