Tuna Cooker
on: June 02, 2012, 06:52:05 AM
I haven't tried this myself yet...

One of the guys on another forum used the flaming tuna to heat water at the same time. You could make a something like a Knorr noodle side dish to go with the tuna. I'm thinking about making some sort of pot support...although a folding Sterno stove will hold a standard size tuna can.

Wow... that's brilliant. And using the flame to heat other food is an excellent use of resources. Very, very cool. I have a new trick in the bag. Thanks. :tu:

For some reason the mods all bring extinguishers now

I wonder if you could use petrol to start it quicker?

Cool idea... all my tuna is in water so I shall have to buy an oil one in order to set fire fire to it :D

I was thinking you could have a small pot with rice or something hanging over the flame so you use to heat to boil and cook it, instead of it just going to waste.

I reckon if a standard size can will burn 15-20 minutes, that's long enough to prepare some sort of pasta or rice side dish. If not, then it's Ramen or Pot Noodle with your flaming tuna  :D

Tuna in oil in the Edc bag. Toilet paper already there ;). That's a fantastic find! I love it.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Just a word of warning. I watched a video on someone trying this out, and if you put a pot over it to cook with, expect a LOT of soot.
