Hi, I'm new here and have a question.
How many yellow rescue tools models are there, I have 0.8623.N and 0.8623.MWN.

I see "0.8623.MWN - OH serrated blade" mentioned first in the identifier on the SAKwiki page...were you specifically looking for 0.8623.MN?

I took a quick look online to see what you mean by 0.8623.MN, and apparently I saw a few dealers are mixing the identifier number 0.8623.MN and 0.8623.MWN.  Such as Knives and Tools(look at the small prints under 72 pounds vs the main title) or Amazon Japan(the tools look exactly the same, but the official Japanese Victorinox has 0.8623.MWN vs import as 0.8623.MN):

The MN has a smaller hole in the knife but i'm not sure if this real Victorinox or fake.

The holes have variation depending on the year.  Some are oval and some are more round.

I think basically it is difference between the elongated blade from the earlier GAK 111mm vs the modern 2018 Solider knife blade, but does the identifier no. change because of different knife blades?  :think:   It didn't seem to mention any identifier number change for Trekker adopting the newer round hole.

I found the Rescue knife with the small hole in the US 2007 catalog and the number is 0.8623.N so it is the same number as the one with no hole.

My favorite variation, wish they sold it..

I feel like the rescue tool, with its two removable components, has the potential to have many modified tools added on.

Mine too, I became aware of the version with added wood saw when they came out with the model made for the Polish police.

Your wish has came true. Apparently, a year or two ago,  there was a LE run of them done by the Italian Vic distributor for public sale. You'll find a few Italian cutlery stores with them. Unknown if any ship to the USA,

Here's one I had bookmarked that still apparently has them. Not too much more expensive than the regular one. I am wanting an upgrade to my old Fireman for the truck, and this can do most of the stuff the Fireman can (except open cans; but so what, there's the P-38), while also being suited to emergency use.  But, I do have a few model Italian emergency vehicles in my collection, so it will likely be a shelf-queen.

Finally I found the last yellow Rescue 0.8623.N with the small oval hole in the blade.  :woohoo:

ivo....another little variation, an ad knife in blue.  This one for EADS (European Aeronautic Defense & Space) that is now Airbus.  Kind of expensive for a ad knife but expensive contracts = expensive toys I guess 😛.     :cheers:
