I installed Firefox on my nexus, mainly because I use the Firefox sync to keep all my bookmarks on all my different devices, both FF and chrome work great.

Man, I would love to do that and sync my Firefox bookmarks.

Pardon my silly question, but is there Firefox mobile for iPhone? Or only for Android?
Is it possible to sync between Safari mobile and Firefox?

I'm using Mercury on iPhone, which can sync up with FF. I don't know of a way to sync it with Safari though.

Not sure, I don't use idevices... perhaps check the appstore?

Hey thanks. I tried Mercury, too complicated for me or perhaps it takes getting used to?
I really like the simple Safari browser. Kinda like old leather boots. :)

The new Firefox (mobile) seems a lot better than I recall, it was a hog on my old android tablet, so I got rid of it, now on my Nexus 7 it seems very sleek, and a lot more like Chrome than the desktop version...

My tablet has wax on it for writing but I thought you young Gadget hungry lot may like this:

Video here:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4760736/The-pop-up-liquid-keyboard-which-vanishes-like-magic.html

THIS is the world’s first ever touchscreen tablet with “pop-up” button technology - liquid keys which dissolve into the screen when they aren’t being used.

Fluids built into the tactile layer of your device form to create a solid keyboard on demand.

Experts say the revolutionary “microfluidic” technology could soon be used in smartphones, cars and even game controllers - anything with a touchscreen.

It could mean an end to troublesome typing on devices which up until now have had vibrating buttons at best

US boffins in California have developed the technology, which will begin production at the end of this year.

A TV report from the recent CES show in Las Vegas shows the idea being demonstrated on a 7” tablet.

The firm behind the idea, Tactus, said: “This is not a trick of your senses using vibration or stimulation, but rather real physical buttons that rise out of the surface of the screen

I switched to Chrome over a year ago, when it was clear that Firefox just wasn't keeping up.  I like having everything synced and available all the time, on any device, with no hassles.  I haven't looked back since.

Same here. I use Chrome on my work PC, my Linux laptop, my Samsung Galaxy S3 smart phone, and my Nexus7 tablet. Having the ability to sync everything, and even open the exact tabs I last had open on my other devices, is absolutely awesome.

FYI, this is also available with Firefox sync.

Good to hear you are enjoying it so far!  I am really quite pleased with mine.  I like it a lot more than my wife's Mini, and I thought that was a very nice machine.  If only the Nexus 7 had a rear facing camera, it would be perfect!

I am sort of lamenting not getting the LTE version, but it's no problem to connect through my phone so it's better that I didn't rather than incur yet another bloody bill each month.

There's an app called FoxFi that allows for tethering without the charge that cell phone companies typically charge.  Excellent app.

I neet to find some tethering help.  The Glalaxy S3 is capable of tethering, but when I tether my iPad to the S3 my data connection disappears.

iPads usually won't let anything non-Apple to connect to them.  My parents have had the same problem since they are so far out in the middle of nowhere and 3G is the only internet available to them.  My father has an iPad 2 that can connect to the net through my mother's Galaxy Tab, but it won't work the other way around.

I don't think I am charged for tethering, but thanks for the tip anyway!

For Nexus 7, if you have a subscription to Showtime or Cinemax, there ARE apk's for the mobile apps.

Portrait only, unless you lock the screen in landscape mode.  (third party rotation locker, free app)
