Going Camping and Testing Knives- NOW WITH LOTS OF PICS!
on:
June 09, 2012, 02:19:48 AM
Well I'm leaving early in the morning for a camping trip at Audra State park. I will be doing some hiking in caves and overhangs. I'll also probably spend a little time in the river with the dogs. I'm so excited as I haven't been camping for like ever and a week.
I'll also be testing out some Alan Davis Knives and hopefully can get some footage of the trip for a vid to share.

Sounds like fun!
My wife and I are planning a trip to Sequoia and King's Canyon for later this summer... I'm really looking forward to it.

I also used my sideclip to flip the hotdogs as we forgot the spatula.

Great pictures Ashley! Looks like you had a good time and the weather was good.
I think your dog is eyeing your blue custom SAK.
You might want to keep your eyes on that one.

Seems like a great trip! Did you learn anything you hadn't guessed about any of the knives?

Only thing I really learned was that sharpening a hatchet isn't easy.
I worked on it for hours with a lansky puck and I did get it looking better and maybe a hair sharper but nowhere near what I want. The emerson, junglas, and farmer where the most used. The sideclip at cooking duty.

I think, for me, the real question I have in viewing those photos is... how did those big hunks of dead animal turn out.
Also, cool to see outdoor gear in its native habitat.
