Puma Defender
on: June 10, 2012, 11:46:19 PM
The Puma 126480 Defender was designed in the early 90's by German knifemaker Richard Hehn, and built by Puma as a limited edition of only 500 pieces.

It's a pure fighter with heavy metal handle & double hollow ground 154CM blade (top not sharpened), and the point of balance is just in front of the first steel rivet.
The guard is embellished on both sides with a Puma logo medallion, and the bottom picture shows the security mechanism; a steel pin with mushroomed head that clicks directly into a hole in the handle.

It looks very much like the Boker kressler fighter, and CS OSS. Guess it's a very generic design.

A sexy beast of a knife. It's just retarded that they limit the production of a winning design... but good for you obviously.

If i find one like it how much will it set me back?

Currently these go for around 550 Euro (+/- 690 US Dollars), if in mint condition and complete with guarantee leaflet / papers.
Mine is missing those papers and has a few superficial scratches from sheathing/unsheathing, most likely due to the steel mushroom pin.
