I don't, but a knife dealer friend of mine does... I think the price is bonkers, and she's even asking a "generous" couple thousand less than the eBay auction.

Needless to say, I could buy out all of Jaydar's collection of vintage SAKs for that price, including the kickass chest he's shown that he stores his finds in.  :pok:  :D

I'd love to have it!!

... but on free paypal accounts, I don't think you are even allowed to spend that much in a month...

Ya if I had the money I'd try to buy Duder's or one of the other fine collections of many knives.

The price is probably OK for a museum, depending on how many were made.

I have several of them, even more valuable than that. However they're so valuable I have them stashed away in my safe deposit box in my bank in Zurich where the gnomes keep them safe. Security is such that I can't show you any photos of them, but trust me, they're there.

Well I have done the Maths just using Swiss soldiers and using an average price of $45 per soldier (from 1890's to 2008 alox (the rough ones don't live in the fancy cupboard :)

And not sure 18k is going to do it ;)

Well it might not buy all of your collection, but I bet it would get darn close. :P   Seriously, you have a wonderful collection of truly vintage pieces. :salute:

I saw something similar 2010 at an exhibition called "SAK as a cult". But without a price tag :)
