The model isn't new, but the scale color is new. I'm only seeing that color scheme on some European sites. Hope they're available here in the States sometime soon, me likey!

I believe they are also new models in fact. The previously released Hunter XT model with green DD scales has the Philips screwdriver on back in lieu of the corkscrew.

They seem to be very new. I found one site on French ebay with them while looking for something else. However they wouldn't ship to the US. A more general search turned up a shop in Greece. Figure give it a couple of weeks and check again.

GAH! Yeah, missed that. The current one-hand Hunters have the same blade patterns, I just missed the backside tools.

Either way, I still want one. :D

I have a variation of the model I bought from Felinevet Tim.  the biggest difference is that mine has an OD with black trim handle.  Handle reminds youof the new Soldier model.

Oof. That's $78, or about twice what the Olive Drab Hunter goes for here.  :ahhh

Think I'll wait til it hits the US stores. I hear delayed gratification is a Good Thing.  ;)

That's an urban myth.  It was busted on Mythbusters last month.  :p

similar prices in Germany, seems a bit much, there is less functionality than a soldier, but still more expensive.

What a great Polish website; never seen a one handed opening Nomad before (http://scyzoryki.net/en/product/view?id=13692503)

Now if i could just get hold of a open handed opening Centurion..... :D

I'm pretty sure they are not in the US yet.  Hoping to get an official word from Victorinox soon on whether they will be sold in the US.  They don't even appear to be readily available in Switzerland right now.

Home from the hospital Chako.  Wound left open to close naturally, and being pumped full of IV antibiotics.

Martin, how is the shield made? Metal inlay or silver paint (similar to the Economy scales), embossed or surface applied? It's not very clear from the photos. Thanks.

It's not metal inlay. It's embossed and silver printed. I hope you can see it on the picture...
