Goth; Really?
on: July 03, 2012, 08:45:10 PM
This is a bit of a strange one.  A "Goth" inlay and the Victorinox Shield on the same knife?  I'm not a great historian, but this seems a little strange.

As for the more recent Goth subculture, I just don't see a 'SAK' as really equating with that.  It would be interesting to know what turn of events brought about this SAK, but I don't think we'll ever know.

Yes, but they didn't care for Christians, hence misplaced on a SAK with a Vic Shield.

Could be a family or old business name on an advertising SAK. I do not think the name is that uncommon.. Thoughts?

Well I did mention I was not a great Historian  :)  I see they have had Pegan and Christian ways so I guess it all makes some sense.  Because of the script, I think it refers to the people, but it could always be advertising something.  The knife is probably from the 60s (84mm climber small-clip, long nail-file, Victoria on the reverse.

I guess I better learn about the Goths now.
