5 months of overnights start tomorrow
on: June 24, 2012, 03:34:54 AM
Sunday night starts the overnight remodel season for me. This year we have some massive total store flips to do ..each taking about 6 to 8 weeks to complete. This is the part i look forward to..working with tools, lots of OT, no paperwork, no babysitting newbies, just tear it down and rebuild it. This year we are doing what is called Connected Stores. Nice clean look to them. Did two last year and they have a more modern feel to them.

I've been going thru the tools organizing and charging batteries. I'll have 3 tool bags.

Bag One - basic hand tools, screwdrivers, pliers, ratchet sets
Bag Two - power tools, drill, impact driver, roto tool, and circular saw.
Bag Three - IT/IS tools, cable sniffer, sedelco satellite tuner, punchdown tools, coax crimpers.

Sounds like a lot of fun.  I don't mind working nights as long as it's going to be long enough to actually shift your body over to nights.  I find that after a week I am completely adjusted, but then I'm not as young as I used to be!

Good luck mate, ive been on nights for 12 years solid and still can only sleep for around 4 hours during the day so feel really tired on my shifts, although i do like using my tools on my day time job  ;)  Hope it all goes well  :salute:

Good luck Pacu!
I don't think I could do nightshifts for 5 months straight (but then I am old), but I guess all that OT is what pays for the multitool collection.
Take care.

Not a bad first week. General contractors and the electricians all seem to be on task. Had to break out the locking toolbox as the other team thought my tools were free for all.  >:(

Got some fng team lead who is worthless. He is supposed to be running his team from another state but was too busy brown nosing the big boss and surfing the web on the clock.

also it is hotter n hell down here..we are removing a kak ton of metal out to the recycle bins outside. Everything is soaked from the 100% humidity tropics weather. ::)

Open it up and do something cool with it - saw a groovy cigarette case the other day!
