Love the concept of this thread. Never use my phone in the effort of taking good pics, just use it for snapping funny stuff that I share on facebook. But here are 2 pics that I had on my phone.

While dragonflies are beautiful I do have to say if that's the most exciting thing the zoo has then I'm not impressed!

+1  Really nice, I like the last one especially when I've seen the other for context.  I'd maybe make an composite image with the first 1 on top, and the last one on the bottom.

Well this is what it looked like before the EOD boys blew it up

For those who don't know heres a little history lesson.

At the end of the second world war Britain like many other countries had huge amounts of munitions left. Some were buried , some were piled up in fields and blown up which just scattered it over a larger area  ::) but the majority was dumped out in the sea and we are talking hundreds of thousands of tonnes.
60 years later the stuff still keeps getting washed up.If its below the high water mark then its H.M Coastguards responsibility to investigate and make the area safe and call in the Army or Navy Bomb disposal teams.
the above photos were taken recently after a member of public found what he believed to be an unexploded bomb.My team was called to investigate and was infact my first job as O.I.C ( Officer in Charge ). Luckily a Royal Navy EOD (  Explosive Ordnance Disposal )team were in the area dealing with another UXB and were with us in about an hour.

It made a pretty big bang !  :D

What you call UXB, we call UXO (UneXploded Ordinance). I had the pleasure of dealing with this stuff after the first Gulf War. Anything that was left on the battlefield we had to deal with. everything from howitzer ammo caches to Russian T-72s. We had some great times experimenting with C4.

Never saw that show. Looks very interesting though it appears that it didn't "take off" well.

Yeah, I've done some cool stuff in my day. Back then I was a Combat Engineer. I did this job for the first five years in the Army. We either (1) Built stuff, obstacles/ bridges etc. (2) destroyed stuff, uxo/ battlefield leftovers. There were times when we had to call in EOD techs to certify our rigging if the job was too big.

The next 17 years I spent as a MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) crewman. Here's a pretty cool video of what that entailed.

Did this one with an app called Paper Camera using the cartoon setting. My wife did the decorating with our daughter last weekend. I added the extra with the Terrible Towels.
