I got some interesting news today. Damascus Limited Edition 2012 in a noble gift packageCHF 290.00The Swiss Soldier knife has a blade of Damast steel and the handle scales are made of Swiss walnut. Only 5000 of these knives will be distributed worldwide.Delivery date is set to end of August. No pictures yet.

....I believe this knife it will pass in price the last year's Climber model.I am sure that in a year from now these knives will have almost double price.
Nice looking knife, but at $400 I'm going to pass.
I'm pretty sure it will pass the price of the Climber which didn't do as well as I expected even with the gorgeous scales. It's currently starting higher, so it would be quite a surprise if it didn't hold its premium over the Climber.I'm pretty sure it will not double in price (i.e. $800 US) anytime soon as SAKs, even really nice ones, rarely reach that level.
I personally will always feel the Heritage 125th Anniversary Soldier should be valued above this one.
There were some early street prices that were much less, but for whatever reason more are listing it for MSRP now.
