What is the difference between the blasting cap crimper on the S63 EOD PowerLock and the crimper on the S60 (non-EOD) PowerLock?

The photos on SOG's web pages look identical.

Thanks.

There used to be a difference, on older plier head the non-EOD ones didn't come with blast cap crimper, just electrical one.

The new plier head only came in one version, but SOG kept the different model numbers for whatever reason. The only difference between EOD and regular now is the tools in the handle.

jzmtl,

Thanks for the info.

I have an older Powerlock with the original pliers and exposed gears, and want to get a more modern version.

SOG makes changes to their tools while keeping the model numbers the same.  That makes it difficult for consumers to order from dealers over the web and know exactly what tool they will receive.
