Need help finding an old book
on: July 17, 2012, 05:59:04 PM
There was a book I had as a small kid which, as a small kid got wrecked and if there's one thing I wish I had hung on to ... it's that

Timewise, we are looking at thirty years plus ago and I remember it was non-fiction and included shelter building and other outdoors skills .... but it had Donald Duck in it! It may well have been a Donald Duck Survival Manual of sorts, but I can't remember enough about it. I can't remember what other topics may have been included in this book, which was definitely some form of "how to" book for kids, neither can I remember if any other Disney characters appeared, but I have a suspicion Goofy might have

I know this is a real long shot, but I've been having a good rummage on the web and not getting anywhere. Does anyone else remember this book? Anyone got any clues which might help my search?

Any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated  :salute:

Absolutely  :tu:  I just can't seem to find the right search words in English. Google is throwing all sorts of irrelevant stuff my way

I tried to find a pdf version but no luck so far. Found one as a part of a dead torrent.  If I find one, I'll post links.

I wonder what's harder?  Tracking down an old book or learning Italian?  :D

maybe try http://www.abebooks.com/ I applied to work there when I lived in BC, and ended up getting a job in electronics manufacturing instead, they tend to have hard to find stuff...

Italian, Grant, trust me.

While I can find on ebay many copies of the book (in Italian), I can't teach my god-hated, exception-packed, baroque-convoluted language.
