The MP600 represents about 9 or 10 variations on a fundamental theme. Bluntnose or Needlenose, some have variations in their tool selection such as saws and scissors. Any of the MP600's are great tools, pick one with the variations that suit you needs.

I have been carrying a blunt nosed 600 for many years.  I just did a little modding on  mine a couple weeks ago to customize my tool load a little and updated to the new plier head.

I have used gerbers warranty service twice.  very pleased both times with the outcome.

I have little experience with Gerber tools I ahve had owned a shortcut which was great ( I broke it through stupidity) and the 800 which I am really impressed with it has been used for a variety of things from gardening to housebreaking and never once felt like it wasn't up to the task if it had a decent woodsaw it would be a great multi

Around the 20th of October I found a "badly" banged up Gerber 600 on the side of the highway.  No pliers broken tools really messed up.

Put it in the mail the 22nd it arrived the 24th and just last weekend (the 7th) I received a brand new 600.

Even though I am a lover of Swiss Tool and Spirit I have to admit I am impressed with this turn around.

Now here is a question, I oiled down the tools assortment but they are still dragging against each other.
What tool do one use to loosen or tweak the pivot bolt in this MT?

A pair of pliers is about the best tool for the job, maybe wrap some masking tape around the jaws to stop scratches :)

Just read the whole post (insomnia attack) very interesting, makes me look at Gerber in a different light. I bought a Gerber LMF II as present for a buddy of mine and he loves it. Which MT are still made in US by Gerber, the 600 and Diesel series or none of them anymore and I have to look for the old stock? Thx V.
